This weekend we went exploring! We started off driving to a place called Tamaranui. Nathan was too busy watching his DVD player to play with me in the car, so I slept the whole way! We arrived pretty late and found a cabin. It was like sleeping in a pre-built tent. The next morning I bounded out of bed and woke up Nathan. I was set to go. We were going to explore Mt Ruapehu (the new volcano as Nathan calls it). When we arrived we were corralled into parking spots, and then I looked outside. Everyone was in snowsuits and had skis!! I didn’t know we were going skiing!! Oh, good, Mum said we’re not skiing, we’re just looking. So, here's us, almost at the top, watching the skiers. There were chairlifts to take you down the mountain as well as up, very strange.
