tryathlon
On march 29th in 2009 I did the tryathlon. My friend Fin also did the tryathlon. I'm going to tell a bit about it. We had to swim 100m, bike 4.5km and run 1km. The swim didn't take long. It only took about 5 minutes. When I finished the swim it only took 30 seconds to change out of my cap into my shoes, get on my bike and ride off. I was going quite fast so everyone thought I was a blur. When I was 200m away from the end of the bike Fin caught up to me. I looked at Fins gears. He had them at the top gear and was pedaling his hardest. We had been together for 196m. There was only four meters left and me and Fin were still tying. Everybody was cheering us on. Then at the end I boosted in front of Fin by a meter. When we got to the transition area I changed faster than you can say ''smack bang''. When I finished the run it was the end of the Tryathlon. I was so proud when I got awarded with a pure hammered gold medal. Then we stayed for the prize giving and watched one of my other friend win a bike. When we saw him at the end we congratulated him beautifully. He was also proud for winning the bike. Me and fin played last card and I won. Then I went to their house and played soccer on fins mini soccer table.

That was an amazing achievement, Nathan.
You had to change very quickly from one sport to another. I would not like the idea of swimming and getting wet and then having to cycle. You and Fin have a great friendship and a great rivalry - and a great respect for each other.Well done! Grandma
Grandma now knows you were in another Tryathlon - and the finish line had a video camera so all finishers could be identified. Well done Nathan, you had a great run, swim, bicycle !
